In this edition of Owl's Progress Notes, we are introducing Modalities to Smart Notes and Multi-Factor Authentication to all accounts.
Changes to Multi-Factor Authentication
You can find out more about how Multi-Factor Authentication works here.
Modalities
You can configure Smart Notes to automatically format your notes based on a specific modality such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) among 77 others. When creating a new session, you can find Modalities under the Smart Notes section of the Create Session window. You can select new modalities or modify pre-existing ones if needed from the dropdown menu.

Your notes will now be tailored to the modalities you have selected when using Smart Notes.

If you are not currently subscribed to Smart Notes, the Modalities section will be grayed out. Owners will se a Subscribe link and Therapists will see a Learn More link next to Modalities if they are interested in these features.

You can also set up default modalities for a client. To begin, go to Clients, select a client, select View, and then select Contact & Clinical. Under the Clinical Details tab, you will see the Smart Notes section at the bottom where you can see the selected Modalities. To add or remove Modalities from a client, select Edit in the bottom right.

In the Clinical Details window, scroll down to Smart Notes and select the desired Modalities in the drop box. Note that you can select more than one. When you are finished select Save.
Note: It is also possible for modalities to be set up during the initial client creation process as well.

You will now see the selected Modalities under the Smart Notes section.

Notes: Currently, modalities are only available for Individual and Couples sessions.
