Managing Time Zones in Owl

On November 1, 2026, many Canadian regions will turn their clocks back one hour, while others—including most of B.C.—will not. If you see clients in another province, the time difference between you may change.

Owl uses one practice time zone in the calendar.  Your calendar, online booking, and automated reminders use your practice’s time zone. Meanwhile, the Client Portal uses the client’s device to determine their time zone, not their address input into Owl.

If you need to make changes to your time zone, you can check under Settings,  Practice Details, and Time Zone under the Language and Region section.

Confirm that the selected time zone matches the location’s current time rules in your location. If the appointment still looks incorrect, contact our support team before making changes.

Note: The red line on your Owl Practice calendar is controlled by the time reflected by your operating system on your local device.  This is completely separate from from the settings within Owl, which only affects appointment reminders, notifications, and how certain times are displayed in the Client Portal.
