Payer Enrollment Email Notification

The copy for insurance payer enrollment email notifications, that you will receive upon complete and successful enrollment of a payer you've requested, has been updated to accurately reflect the status for enabling your clinic to submit claims to through Owl.

Flagging Payers as In-Network

You can now indicate payers as in-network (vs. out-of-network) when adding them to your account from the Search Payers menu. This capability allows for ease in managing payers for in-network claims vs. utilizing out-of-network Superbills.

To begin, navigate to Settings, Insurance, then select the Payers tab at the top, select the Add Payers button and finally select Lookup Payers.

You must first select the payer you are looking for.  By default they are identified as in-network, which allows you to submit a claim transaction enrollment request or add to your account as an in-network payer. If you select No, meaning the payer is out-of-network, enrollment is disabled and you can add them to your account as an out-of-network payer that your client(s) are covered by. An Icon identifying In-Network Payers within your Added Payers list is slated to come in an upcoming release.

ICD-10 code T23.262A

The ICD-10 code T23.262A has been added in Owl and can be selected when making claims.

Correcting a Rejected, Voided, or Denied Claim

When editing a rejected, voided, or denied claim you will now receive a message informing you that you are editing such a claim and that the details will be copied from your original claim so it can be resubmitted.   Selecting Resubmit Claim after making your changes will resubmit the corrected claim.

Claim Types

Claim types are now visible for claims submitted through Claims-Direct.  The Claim ID# is now visible when viewing an insurance claim along side its status so that you can track claim progress more precisely.
